The Bellini @ Verdi1801/2021 project is organized by the Fondazione Bellini-Centro Studi Belliniani and the Istituto nazionale di Studi verdiani, with the support of the Universities of Catania and Ferrara and in collaboration with the 2021 Festivals dedicated to the two musicians. The aim of the project is to explore the link between the two great Italian composers of the nineteenth century, in the light of their professional background, of their dramaturgies and of the issues posed by the reception of their works in the span of time from the birth of Bellini to the present day.
